Relaxation · Sea · Exclusivity

A luxury that nature
has already designed for you

Descend the steps that separate the convent from the cliffs, let the noise of the city fade with every step, and reach one of the most exclusive spots on the Amalfi Coast. The pool at Hotel Luna Convento is filled with sea water: fresh, saline, alive. Around you, the ancient rocks, the sun-drenched solarium and the open sea stretching to the horizon. This is relaxation in its absolute form.

The Tyrrhenian,
within reach

The water in the pool is the same sea that opens before you: there is no boundary between the pool and the horizon, between your skin and the Mediterranean.

Our spaces

Three spaces, one breath

Sea water

The water comes directly from the open sea, constantly filtered and renewed: fresh, saline, alive. Swimming here means swimming in the Tyrrhenian, with the safety of a pool and the freedom of the open sea. The brackish waters of the Amalfi Coast have been known since antiquity for their beneficial properties: regenerating for the skin, toning for the muscles, relaxing for the mind.

Equipped solarium

The solarium is the open-air living room of Hotel Luna Convento: sunbeds and deckchairs arranged on the rocky terrace, shaded by quality umbrellas, served by our beach bar with cocktails, fresh juices and light snacks. A place where time expands, where reading a book is as good as a swim, where the Coast's sun warms without burning thanks to the constant breeze rising from the sea.

Private sea access

A stone staircase leads directly to the cliffs, where you can dive into the open sea from our private access. Reserved exclusively for hotel guests, it is the most direct — and most exhilarating — way to connect with the sea of the Coast. The rocks are safe and accessible; the seabed is clean and transparent, with ideal depths for snorkelling among colourful fish and swaying posidonia.

The experience

The walk down
to the cliffs is already relaxing

Reaching the pool is a ritual in itself. You descend about eighty steps carved through living rock, amid the scent of sea salt and the growing sound of the waves: every step is a thought left behind, a gradual immersion in the natural silence of the Coast.

Once below, the world changes perspective. The convent rises above you, almost inaccessible, while the Gulf of Amalfi opens before you in all its vastness. In the distance, the outline of Capri; closer, the fishing boats returning to port. A postcard that no filter could improve.

Our staff is on hand to bring towels, cocktails and everything that makes a day by the pool a carefree experience. Because true luxury is not in marble or gold: it is in not having to think of anything, in a place like this.

"I spent entire days on that cliff, with the sun warming me and the sea just centimetres away. I had no desire to go back up. No desire to be anywhere else. Perhaps for the first time in my life I wanted nothing that was not already there, in front of me."

Natural wellness

The benefits of
the Coast's sea

Natural thalassotherapy

The Tyrrhenian seawater is rich in mineral salts, magnesium and iodine. Swimming in open water has proven effects on the circulatory system, reduces stress and improves sleep quality.

Coastal air

The breeze rising from the Tyrrhenian is saturated with negative ions and iodised microparticles. Breathing it lowers blood pressure, oxygenates the lungs and gives that sense of lightness that only the sea can provide.

Mediterranean sun

The Amalfi Coast's sun — over 300 days a year — is an ally of vitamin D and good mood. On our terrace, sheltered by the breeze, it warms without ever being harsh.

Good to know

An oasis reserved
for our guests

The pool and cliffs are accessible exclusively to guests of Hotel Luna Convento. The descent — approximately eighty steps carved into the rock — requires good balance: we recommend comfortable footwear for the walk.

The beach bar is open throughout pool opening hours: alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, fresh seasonal fruit, snacks and artisan ice cream. A day by the pool can easily become a full day.
